Sure, you can file it under whatever genre seems the most obvious or play the \u201csounds like\u201d game. But that\u2019s too easy and in most cases it doesn\u2019t due the band justice. Unless the band isn\u2019t trying very hard and is perfectly content aping the sound of others. Thankfully none of that applies to Orlando\u2019s <a title=\"The Glorious Rebellion\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/thegloriousrebellion\">the Glorious Rebellion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There are some obvious nods to noise rock in the two songs that make up the <a title=\"The Glorious Rebellion 7&quot; - Order\/Download\" href=\"http:\/\/magneticeyerecords.bandcamp.com\/album\/the-glorious-rebellion\">band\u2019s new 7\u201d<\/a> for <a title=\"Magnetic Eye Records\" href=\"http:\/\/magneticeye.co\/\">Magnetic Eye Records<\/a>, but the Glorious Rebellion isn\u2019t simply picking over the scraps of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amphetaminereptile.com\/index2.html\">Amphetamine Reptile<\/a> catalogue. Instead of being boxed in by the sub-genre, the band pulls heavier elements from the metal and sludge spectrum to create their bastardized version of noise rock.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: 0; width: 100%; height: 150px;\" src=\"http:\/\/bandcamp.com\/EmbeddedPlayer\/album=3792277023\/size=large\/bgcol=ffffff\/linkcol=0687f5\/tracklist=false\/artwork=small\/track=1271959231\/transparent=true\/\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" seamless=\"\"><a href=\"http:\/\/magneticeyerecords.bandcamp.com\/album\/the-glorious-rebellion\">The Glorious Rebellion by The Glorious Rebellion<\/a><\/iframe><br \/>\nBut if noise rock, metal and sludge aren&#8217;t already part of your musical diet, no problem. There\u2019s still something here for you. Specifically in the shape of huge, dirty riffs and massive hooks that immediately get lodged in your head. This is a band that not only has an appreciation for tone and the power of volume, but a band who understands the art of writing a good memorable song.
